Interested applicants must submit their proposals through the IUCN Procurement Portal:
Consultants shall be eligible to participate if:
•  They are citizens or bona fide residents of an eligible country. 
•  In all cases, the consultant has no arrangement whereby any substantial part of the benefits of the contract would accrue to a person who is not a citizen or resident of an
eligible country.  
Eligible countries are members of the United Nations and its specialised agencies.  
In the assessment of submissions, consideration will be given to the consultant's qualifications in plant sciences, botany, agronomy, conservation biology or related disciplines, demonstrated experience in germplasm management, plant propagation, botanical collections or conservation nurseries, and experience in biodiversity conservation and Access
and Benefit-Sharing (ABS).
Experience working with Caribbean or tropical flora will be considered an asset.

Deadline for Submission: Tuesday, 11 August 2026
Following the assessment of submissions, the most technically capable and appropriately experienced applicant will be invited  to negotiate a contract.
The Government of Saint Lucia/IUCN reserves the right to accept or reject late applications or to cancel this invitation partially or entirely. No costs incurred by applicants in preparing
and submitting Requests for Proposals will be reimbursed.
