The OECS Data for Decision-Making Project (DDM) is an initiative led by the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Commission. It aims to enhance the availability and accessibility of data to facilitate informed decision-making across the region. The project benefits the following OECS Member States: Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada and the Commonwealth of Dominica.
The OECS has received a grant from the World Bank Group to implement the regional component of the Organisation of the Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Data for Decision Making (DDM) Project. The Project was approved by the World Bank Board of Directors on May 17, 2022, with International Development Association (IDA) Credits in the amount of US$8.0 million to Grenada, US$8.0 million to Saint Lucia, and US$6.0 million to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), and an IDA Grant in the amount of SDR 3.6 million (US$5.0 million equivalent) to the OECS Commission. The DDM will be implemented over a five-year period. It aims to improve the capacity of participating countries to produce and publicly disseminate statistical data for country and regional-level analytics. This will enable greater data-driven decision-making at both the national and regional levels. The DDM also aims to provide an immediate and effective response to an eligible emergency. A regional approach allows for considerable economies of scale and facilitates positive spillovers.
